Good Samaritans Home Ministries operates on the Biblical principle described in 2 Corinthians 8:14 which instructs Christian believers with more than they need to share with those who do not have enough. In this way, needs are met within the Body of Christ.
Building upon this simple principle, GSH Ministries facilitates the sharing of resources, from the Church in the west that has excess, to the Church in the east that has need. We also employ the Biblical principle of sending a “trusted delegation” to see to the wise use of the funds given. Our brothers and sisters in India are capable and trustworthy. We are in contact with them regularly by phone and email, and make it our goal to physically visit one another at least every two years. Teams from the US have so far visited India 3 times and Indian representatives have traveled here 5 times.
Are you a supporter with interest in being a part of the next delegation?
Let us know. We would love to facilitate that.
Good Samaritans Home Ministries operates very simply with a minimal admnistrative infrastructure. We are committed to disciplined stewardship and no waste. GSH supporters receive no glossy mail correspondence, but rather we communicate using paperless, electronic methods that are mostly free. The ministry is run entirely by a small team of volunteers which enables nearly 100% of every dollar received (minus a small budget for web hosting and a few stamps) to go directly to our church family in India. We even have a volunteer CPA to prepare our tax returns, and our local bank donates all the monthly wire transfer fees.
Our tax return is available for viewing if you would like to see a precise accounting of how donations are used. Email us to request. (Will be available in PDF form online soon!)
